The ENIGMA project on pre-commercial procurement in the field of public lighting has teamed up with the European Commission and the Covenant of Mayors for a webinar on municipal innovation procurement.
The webinar will take place on 2 October and will highlight how new purchasing mechanisms can help your local authority innovate public services. This one-hour online event will include an introduction by Vasileios Tsanidis of the European Commission on 'innovation procurement and the EU financial support for PPI (public procurement of innovative solutions) and PCP (pre-commercial procurement), and from Caterina Sampol from AQUAS in Barcelona on 'pre-commercial procurement for local and regional innovation'. ENIGMA will then host a study visit in Eindhoven during the renowned GLOW lighting festival. Taking place on 12-13 November, the visit will be an opportunity for participants to discuss the economic and social benefits of hosting interactive public lighting and light festivals. European municipalities will then participate in a work shadowing visit in Eindhoven, allowing them to cooperate with their peers on public lighting innovation. Please note that the study visit and work shadowing are only open to municipal employees of European cities and public authorities, with a small number of travel grants available for eligible participants.
