We are pleased to invite you to join our next meeting of the Working Group Urban Ageing on 27-28 March, in Glasgow.

The WG meeting will be preceded by the Social Innovation Lab on 26 March and 27 March in the morning. The Lab will address the new and emerging social challenges in cities by fostering co-learning, co-sharing and co-creation of innovative solutions in social services delivery.

The WG meeting will start in the afternoon of 27 March at 14.00 and will finish by 18.00. The second day, 28 March, (optional) will give the opportunity to participants to attend the ESPON ‘ACPA – Adapting European Cities to Population Ageing: policy challenges and best practices’ steering committee meeting. Participants that stay overnight will be invited to continue networking over informal dinner.

The meeting will start with a study visit to ‘Generations Working Together’ – the approach of Glasgow to active ageing and inter-generational cohesion. The centre provides information, delivers support and encourages involvement to benefit all generations, by working, learning, volunteering and living together.  Fine more about the practice here. During the business meeting, we will discuss the new funding opportunities under ESF+ and InvestEU for 2021-2027, we will analyse together the implications for social services from the European Semester country reports and we will update you about EUROCITIES activities and upcoming events and study visits in 2019.

To attend, please register here: https://wgurbanageingglasgow.eventbrite.com. Deadline is 15 March
