Public and private organisations and citizens are urged to respond by 19 October to the online public consultation that's just been launched by the EU Commission on the Urban Waste Water Treatment Directive (UWWTD).
The online public consultation opened on 13 July and is part of the evaluation process of the UWWTD (Council Directive 91/271/EEC). It aims to collect views on how the directive has affected urban waste water collection and treatment across the EU and thereby improved the state of our water bodies and the environment in general.
The consultation's objective is to gather both the general views of the public on their understanding of, and relation with, water including waste water and the more detailed opinions and information of experts and entities in charge of implementing the directive.
More information on the UWWTD and its evaluation process is given in the EUROCITIES briefing note below (document log-in is required to see and download this note).
