As part of the CASCADE project on local energy leadership, some 550 city experts participated in a programme of European seminars
More than 550 city experts and decision makers participated in the CASCADE European seminar programme. The programme was organised as part of the EUROCITIES-led CASCADE project on local energy leadership.
The programme ran from September 2013 to April 2014. It included 11 technical seminars, one in each of the 11 EU countries represented by the CASCADE partner cities: Stockholm; Bordeaux; Tampere; Athens; Burgas; Mannheim; Naples; Zabrze; Amsterdam; Gijon; and Glasgow.
Participants learnt about the CASCADE peer-to-peer learning methodology and how it has helped CASCADE cities to improve their local energy policies. The seminars were also an opportunity to discuss the future challenges for local energy policy implementation and network with experts and decision makers from other cities.
The seminars have helped to spread the CASCADE knowledge and experience across Europe and enable new peer-to-peer learning exchanges.
