Anna Lisa Boni will start work as EUROCITIES secretary general on 16 June

EUROCITIES has appointed Anna Lisa Boni as its new secretary general. Currently director of the Brussels office of the French region Provence-Alpes–Côte d’Azur, Anna Lisa Boni will take up the post on 16 June. 

Anna Lisa Boni has 20 years of professional experience in EU public affairs in the field of local and regional government. As well as working for Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, she has worked for the city of Bologna in Italy. Her career extends to working for European and international networks and the European Parliament.

She holds masters degrees from the Universities of Bologna (political science) and Leuven (European studies). Being a convinced European through education, upbringing and career, Anna Lisa Boni has worked for stronger recognition of cities' challenges within the European agenda.

Based in Brussels since 2001, she is of Italian nationality and speaks four European languages.
