There are just three weeks to go until EUROCITIES 2014 Munich, on 5-8 November.

We have an exciting programme to look forward to:

  • Keynote: Professor Simon Anholt, the world’s leading authority on national and city image, will be our keynote speaker. He will be talking for the first time about what it means to be a ‘good city’, and how to become one.

  • Mayors debate: mayors or vice mayors from Athens, Bristol, Dortmund, Ljubljana, Tampere, Vienna and Zurich will discuss the important contribution cities can make to mitigating climate change and boosting the transition to sustainable energy.

  • Private political session: open to politicians only, this session focusing on an EU urban agenda will allow those in attendance to talk openly and honestly about some of the key challenges facing cities throughout Europe.

  • EUROCITIES awards: nine projects from nine cities – three in each category – are shortlisted for this year’s EUROCITIES awards. Join us for a ceremony on 5 November to find out who the winners are!

  • Workshops: we have six workshops to look forward to, exploring themes such as urban development, mobility management and green electricity.

  • Networking: there will be plenty of opportunities for informal networking, including a ‘meet a colleague’ session, and the popular speednetworking, where you can share experience and knowledge with EUROCITIES members.
