EU trade city award - shortlisted cities officially announced

The shortlisted cities for the EU cities for fair and ethical trade award have been officially announced.

Five EUROCITIES members, Dortmund, Ghent, Lyon, Madrid, Malmo, have been recognised as frontrunners in fair and ethical trade, alongside Saarbrucken and Vitoria-Gasteiz.
The EU Cities for fair and ethical trade award is an initiative of the European Commission, DG Trade, aiming at celebrating cities’ achievements in international social, economic and environmentally sustainable trade.
The award ceremony will take place in Brussels on 27 June. The ceremony will include a workshop where finalists can present their accomplishments, exchange best practices and network.
