It is a database of good practice projects that aims to raise digital competences in vocational education and training. The idea is to make local approaches visible, so that they can be shared Europe-wide across countries, government levels and sectors as well as adapted and successfully implemented in other cities or regions.
This is only possible with a participation of all who are working on the development of digital competences. The Digital skills map is based on the willingness to share experiences from innovative projects
‘In a digital world of work, jobs and occupations are fundamentally changing: New skills and competences are necessary for the future of work.’ Said Ms. Elke Breitenbach, Senator for Integration, Labour and Social Services, Berlin. ‘This means that Vocational Education and Training (VET) is also changing. With the new ‘Digital skills map’, local know-how concerning digitalisation in VET is collected, edited and provided to interested users. Here Europe becomes concrete.’
