Have your say on the EU Semester 2019 country reports and the investment guidance for future cohesion policy

The European Commission recently published the country reports under the European Semester 2019, analysing the social and economic situation in each EU member state. The country reports include more examples and analysis related to specific urban challenges than in any other previous country reports beforehand, which is good news for cities.

Promote your event as an EU Green Week partner event

EUROCITIES members currently planning an event taking place between 13 April and 9 June 2019 still have the possibility to register it as an EU Green Week 2019 partner event. This year’s EU Green Week will take place between 13 May and 17 May 2019 and will examine the process of implementation of EU environmental laws.

Measures for sustainable short-term rental in 18 French cities

Starting with 1 January, Airbnb and the other platforms members of French Holidays Homes Association, will support the development of a sustainable short-term rental market, by limiting the home listing to host reservations for a maximum of 120 nights per calendar year. The restriction applies to primary residence, where the owner at lives least 8 months per year.

Meet our young ambassadors

With Scotland's Year of Young People 2018 setting the scene, EUROCITIES 2018 Edinburgh is running a special young ambassadors programme throughout the conference. To get to know Catharina Dahl from Bonn, Théo Fievet from Lille and Jessica Bonehill from Edinburgh ahead of the conference we asked them why they wanted to be a young ambassador, what they would do as mayor of their city and the message they'd send to our president.
