The art of the trade deal includes cities

Ruptures in large-scale trade negotiations, and differences in trade outlook with the current US administration, risk weakening the delivery of public services to EU citizens. A spate of bilateral trade agreements, including with Japan, have followed. However, these only address delivery of essential services and citizens’ concerns on an ad hoc basis.

New Commission report on childcare recognises good practices from EUROCITIES

On 14-15 May, the working group Roma inclusion met in Barcelona to learn about the city’s rights-based approach and intercultural strategy to Roma inclusion both concerning domestic, Spanish Roma, as well as the integration of Roma coming from Eastern Europe.
