We are pleased to invite you to the city of Gothenburg’s Social Days seminar and workshop on the issue of inequality in health and living conditions which will take place from 17-18 March 2016 in Brussels. This year the focus is on the importance of early universal interventions when creating a good start in life for our children.

Within the field of early learning and care programmes and in accordance with The Gothenburg Year 2016 - a city where we read to our children, the seminar 'A good start in life' aims to emphasise the issue of inequality and the importance of early universal interventions when creating a good start in life for our children.

The aim of the seminar is to highlight the latest research within this field and to show the steps taken by the city of Gothenburg to reduce inequality and give children a good start in life, by improving their ability to learn and do well in school, children can go on and enjoy  future employment, income and better health.

Our ambition is that the seminar 'A good start in life' will encourage other cities in Europe to join us in our ambition to create health equality and a good start in life for all.
