Gothenburg will host the final conference of the Entrepreneurial West Hisingen project on 3-4 November. This European Development Funded project focused on actions to counteract high unemployment and decreasing school results in a multicultural district of Gothenburg.
In short, the project has developed and executed business support for SMEs and worked with entrepreneurship in schools, however not focusing on the art of starting businesses but on the art of developing important competencies for life as well as employability. The aim of the project was to increase the attractiveness of the district and to improve confidence and self-belief among residents, by encouraging sustainability start ups and better school results
During the conference, participants will present, discuss and challenge different experiences and perspectives from all over Europe, including the UK, Sweden and Austria as well as from various kinds of organisations, such as universities, municipalities, businesses and federations.
