Cities for Active Inclusion final conference

Cities for Active Inclusion will present the findings from three years of research at this high-level event

Cities for Active Inclusion will host its final event on 25 September 2013 in the Committee off the Regions, Brussels. We will present our findings from the research carried out over the past five years and policy recommendations for EU social policy makers.

On 25 September, we will present the main conclusions from the Cities for Active Inclusion research over the last three years as well as the key policy recommendations. A political debate amongst the mayors of the partnership’s cities will be followed by three interactive panel debates that will look at youth employment, demographic change and social return on investment. The cities will present their good practices and alongside European stakeholders will discuss the current policy and challenges ahead.

Confirmed speakers to this event include:
• Henk Kool, Vice Mayor, The Hague
• Pervenche Berès MEP, European Parliament
• Audrius Bitinas, Vice-minister for Social Security and Labour, in representation of the Lithuanian Presidency of the Council of the European Union
