From 25-28 April, Brno will host city leaders and smart city experts and enthusiasts at the URBIS smart city fair. With over 500 visitors from Central European cities and towns, the programme is packed with talks and seminars that will open dialogue on the key questions that face modern cities in the cultural background of post-communist states with the focus on sharing good practice among them.
From better governance to sustainable development, and the job of technology in bringing these about, this three day event will leave no stone unturned. There will even be a slot presenting some of the most advanced smart cities of the EUROCITIES network.
Bernadett Köteles-Degrendele will be speaking at this event on behalf of EUROCITIES, Lighthouse projects and Sharing Cities, mingling with the leaders in innovation, regions, towns and cities, start-ups and active citizens who will make Europe’s smart future a reality.
The URBIS Smart City Fair is a culmination of the exceptional innovative potential that exists in Brno. Here, cities and industry will present technologies, visions and solutions, as well as promote their positive impact on people’s lives.
On the platform of the most important trade fair administration in central Europe, the City of Brno – as a leader in innovation and a ‘Follower City’ in the Horizon 2020 programme – is creating a unique space for sharing ideas and practical designs on how to bring to life and develop the concept of a smart city in central European towns and villages.
