'Digital Sovereignty: coalition for digital rights'
After Zaragoza, the next Knowledge Society Forum (KSF) meeting on ‘digital sovereignty: coalition for digital rights’ will be hosted by the city of Barcelona, Spain, on 23-25 January 2019.
The two-day meeting will focus on technological sovereignty and digital right protection as well as a proper and more transparent use of data. The meeting will be also the opportunity to explore early applications of emerging technologies such as AI, in cities and discuss about their great potential but also current and future challenges for local ecosystems. Home to the KSF’s new vice-chair, Barcelona is an example for its work towards Europe’s digital transformation, a graduate process with an impact not only on technologies but, more importantly, on people. This event will be the occasion to delve into ways cities can get smarter using new technologies while respecting citizens’ digital rights.
We are looking forward to meeting you in Barcelona!
