European Capital of Innovation Awards celebrates European cities that are pushing the boundaries of innovation. The prize awards inclusive urban ecosystems that successfully translate their results into improved wellbeing of citizens. With this award, the EU raises awareness about the benefits of urban innovation 'with' and 'for' citizens, supporting cities in addressing relevant societal challenges, and strengthening their urban resilience.
