The third City Development Forum will take place on 10 and 11 October this year in the Poznan International Fair area. The themes of the event will be: smart solutions including residents, smart forms of social communication and smart, clean energy technologies. The special guest of the forum will be Charles Montgomery, author of the book Happy city. Transforming our lives through urban design.
The third City Development Forum will take place on 10 and 11 October this year in the Poznan International Fair area. The themes of this years event will be: smart solutions including residents, smart forms of social communication and smart, clean energy technologies. Foreign and Polish experts and practicians will elaborate, among others on the use of modern technologies in the process of including residents into the life of the city, modern communication platforms with residents, future of e-services in the urban administration, smart illumination of urban space and buildings and modern road traffic control systems.
The first day of conference includes a debate Smart City. Technology in the service of resourceful communities moderated by dr Maciej Frąckowiak. The following persons will participate in the discussion: Katarzyna Kierzek-Koperska (Deputy Mayor of the City of Poznan), Dagmara Nickiel (YouNick Mint), dr Piotr Juskowiak (Adam Mickiewicz University) and Dariusz Stasik (W.P.I.P. Organisers of the 3rd City Development Forum are the entities permanently involved in the growth of the smart city idea: The City of Poznan, Wielkopolskie Investment Support Centre, the International Poznan Fair and the Association of Polish Cities. This year’s editions will take place concurrently with the POL-ECO SYSTEM Fair, during which there will be presented innovative solutions, technologies and modern products within the scope of a broadly understood ecology (recycling, renewable energy sources, revitalisation and reclamation).
The City Development Forum is a platform for exchanging experiences and good practices, in terms of urban development planning and an occasion for reviewing new trends and tools supporting this development on several grounds. The event is addressed to residents of Poznan, experts, scientists and students, professionals in energy industry, as well as to urban and regional authorities.
